My Story
I am a trained biologist, nutrition specialist and weight management mentor. But I haven’t always had it “all figured out”. Quite the contrary.
I was born and grew up in Barcelona, Spain, and was overweight, because I used food to hide my sadness after my parent's divorce and because of my mom's obsession to overfeed me due to the post Spanish Civil War famine trauma she suffered when she was a child.
I felt miserable about it every single day. When I finally lost weight I was so scared of gaining it back that I kept suffering for many, many years and almost ended up anorexic.
After I lost my weight, I started being afraid people would think of me as a cliché “blond, blue-eyed and dumb” girl. So I started hiding my body, to the point that people would ask me why I wear long sleeves and pants to the beach.
That’s why I decided to study biology: To understand how our body processes food, why we lose or gain weight. Because only by understanding how it works I could control it.
It took me years to figure it out. At one point, I didn’t even want to have kids because I was scared of gaining weight during pregnancy.
But once I have figured it out, it took me 5 more years to develop the 32 Mondays Weight Management Program. I started teaching it one-on-one and wrote a book about it (it's being prepared for publishing).
Each of us have our own backpack full of unsolved problems and emotions that hold us back from taking the right actions.
I’m happy to say I was able to resolve mine. And one of the main reasons for it is that now I feel in control of my weight.
I don’t hide my body anymore. In fact, I love my curves and I am in perfect harmony with myself.
I made the commitment to change, to be fully me, to show who I really am. But to be able to do this, I had to learn how to control my weight first.
What 32 Mondays Is Not
32 Mondays is not a diet. It’s also not a “fast and easy” way to lose weight.
A diet might help if you want to simply lose a pound or two you gained after the holidays, but don’t have problems with your weight otherwise.
However, if you’ve been struggling to maintain your weight for long, a diet is not the way to go.
Every time I hear someone complaining that the weight they lost returned after they were not on a diet anymore, I think about this quote of Albert Einstein: "Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".
Unless you were planning to stay on a diet and be miserable for your whole life, why do you expect to be in control of your weight (different result), if you are planing to maintain the same habits that got you overweight in the first place (doing the same thing)?
I know, change is scary, and nobody likes it. But the good thing about change is that, if you stick to your plan, at some point it doesn’t feel like change anymore. It becomes your new habit, your routine, the new you.
And in the case of 32 Mondays Weight Management Program, this change comes with the bonus: You will lose weight and gain happiness.
What 32 Mondays Is
You must have heard about things that you need to do to maintain your weight: eat healthy, exercise, get enough sleep. It sounds great and straight forward, until you try to actually do it.
What does it mean, to eat healthy? Will you have to forget about chocolate? But pasta isn’t as bad as bread, right? Or is it?
Well, at least there are no questions about fruits and salads. Or are there?
Are your head spinning already? Mine is. And it’s just a fraction of questions you face when you try to “eat healthy”.
The information about weight loss and weight management that is out there is overwhelming (and often misleading). So I’m sure you’ve heard all about the right (and wrong) things to do.
But let me guess: You still haven’t figured out how to do it.
Good thing I did.
32 Mondays is an educational program that will teach you how to manage your weight for the rest of your life.
How 32 Mondays Works
The program is structured into 15 different steps, and only when one step becomes a habit, you’ll move to the next one.
It is very easy to understand and follow. Using a structured approach, you will be able to learn and assimilate - one step at a time - all the necessary aspects to lose and maintain your weight.
Every step has a recommendation on how many weeks you should spend on making it a habit. Altogether, it takes 32 weeks (32 Mondays) for your habits to change and for you to be able to enjoy and manage your weight for life.
Why 32 Mondays Works
Have you noticed how even the most complicated thing becomes clear and easy as soon as you learn how it works?
32 Mondays won’t simply tell you what to do to lose and maintain your weight. It also will show you how to do it. But most importantly, you will learn how your body responds to different foods, their combinations and timing of the meals.
A friend once told me that after reading my post about insulin she never eats sweets when she is hungry, because she can almost feel her insulin level rising and can’t stop picturing the negative things happening to her body.
With one new habit, your chances of success are 85%, but if you are trying to change two things at a time your success chances drop to 35%; and with three habits, it’s just 10%.
That’s why with 32 Mondays Weight Management Program you will concentrate on changing only one thing at a time - to give you the best chances to succeed.
But you don’t have to take my word for it. Read what my clients have to say about their experience with 32 Mondays Weight Management Program.
What 32 Mondays Won’t Give You
With this program, you won't be able to lose weight fast, and it may not even give you your ideal weight within 32 weeks.
What 32 Mondays Will Give You Instead
However, after 32 weeks you will have a new routine established that will keep you focused on losing weight further, until you reach your goal. Afterwards you will be able to maintain that weight easily with no extra effort but by simply enjoying your life.
And this all within less than 8 months. What were you up to 8 months ago, by the way? It seems like it was just yesterday, doesn’t it? How time flies buy!
Imagine, where you would be now if you’ve started this program 32 weeks ago!
